Pavilion Rental

Rental Schedule

Pavilion & Green Space Rental Guidelines

Welcome to Hillsborough River State Park! We’re excited to host your next event. Please review the following policies to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for you and other park visitors.


Rental Hours & Booking Deadlines

• Rental Hours: 8:00 AM to sunset, 365 days a year.

• Reservation Deadlines: Reservations must be made by the close of business on the second-to-last business day before your rental date.

• Example: For a Saturday rental, book by 5:00 PM Thursday. If Friday is a holiday, book by Wednesday.


Arrival & Cleaning Fee

• A $50 refundable cleaning surcharge is due upon arrival.

• This will be refunded after staff confirm the area is left clean and rules have been followed.

• The park may retain the full deposit for any violations.


Park Entry Fees

• Entry is not included in the rental fee.

• $6.00 per vehicle (up to 8 people)

• $4.00 for single-occupant vehicles

• $2.00 per additional person


Set-Up & Decorations

• No attaching decorations to structures.

• Prohibited items: nails, staples, glitter, confetti, artificial petals, powder cannons, etc.

• Do not move picnic tables in or out of the pavilion.

• Shelter capacity must not be exceeded.


Trash & Cleanup

• Please clean up all trash and place bagged waste in provided dumpsters.

• Leave the space as you found it – or better!


Vehicle & Accessibility Access

• All vehicles must remain on paved roads and park in designated areas.

• Driving to the pavilion is not allowed.

• ADA access and equipment drop-offs may be arranged in advance.


Utilities Disclaimer

• Electricity and water are not guaranteed – even if outlets or connections are present.


Cooking Rules

• Only installed grills or canned fuel (Sterno) are permitted.

• No personal charcoal/wood grills, smokers, or fryers.

• Catered charcoal or wood grills require advance permission and insurance.


Prohibited Activities & Items

The following are not allowed with your pavilion rental:

• Amplified music or DJs

• Alcohol or illegal drugs

• Bounce houses or inflatables

• Fireworks, confetti, or open flames (except approved cooking gear)

• Gambling or collecting fees/donations

• Petting zoos, pony rides, dunk tanks, or pools

• Motorized train rides

• Glass containers, drones, weapons

• Any disruptive or unsafe behavior

• Launching/landing aircraft, balloons, or rockets

All entertainment must be pre-approved by park management.


Catering & Vendors

• Drop-off-only caterers do not require insurance.

• Serving vendors must:

• Be pre-approved

• Pay entry fees

• Provide Certificate of Insurance

Wildlife & Environment

• Do not disturb plants or animals – all are protected by law.

• Removal or destruction of signs, plants, or materials is prohibited.


Rules for Use

• A representative of your group must remain on-site during your rental.

• Skates, skateboards, or similar equipment may be restricted.

• Do not interfere with other scheduled park events or rentals.

• Any part of the park may be closed at any time due to safety or public interest.

• Use of outside equipment may require advance permission and insurance.


Lost Items & Damages

• The park is not responsible for lost, stolen, or unattended items.

• The renter is liable for any damage caused to park property.


Cancellations, Weather & Changes

• Refunds available for cancellations made 15+ days in advance (minus $15 processing fee).

• No refunds within 15 days unless inclement weather prevents use (must notify the concession the next business day).

• Once the pavilion is occupied, no refunds are issued due to rain.

• Concession may cancel for any reason (e.g., emergency or maintenance) with full refund provided.

• To reschedule, contact us at least 7 days prior. One change allowed per reservation. A $15 fee applies.
